Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a hospital of similar size and acuity, with at least 1 year of PCU experience in the last 3 years. License: Must have an active license at the time of submission. Certifications: AHA BLS Certification Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a hospital of similar size and acuity. - At least 1 year of experience in PCU (permanent or float) in the last 3 years, documented on the resume. - At least 1 completed travel assignment preferred; if no travel experience, must have over 3 years of experience. - Current NURSYS report must be included. Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse with experience in a stepdown unit. The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5, adjusted for acuity. Candidates will engage in a combination of PCU and Med/Tele beds. A blocked schedule will be provided whenever possible. Orientation includes classroom instruction and appointments with health and HR as needed. Candidates should expect a call from the clinical team and may receive a voicemail if they do not answer. Candidates must allow 48 hours for follow-up inquiries regarding their application. Quick start requests must be approved by the onboarding team prior to placement. The charting system used is MEDITECH. This position does not require a BSN. The trauma level within the facility is level 3. The care setting is acute. The primary shift for this role is day shifts.
