Bowie provides a welcoming suburban lifestyle while keeping major metropolitan opportunities close at hand.Perks & BenefitsBenefits for this role may include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), retirement benefits, paid time off (including sick leave and vacation), short-term and long-term disability, and life insurance· Competitive compensation · Sign-on or relocation assistance · Health, dental, and vision insurance · CE allowance and professional development support · Paid time off · Retirement savings options · Employee assistance programs · Wellness Time Off · Mental health resources and dedicated wellness programs · On-site veterinary social worker support·The anticipated starting base salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $220,000 to $280,000 per year.In your day-to-day, you will:· Provide advanced medical and interventional cardiology care, diagnosing and managing a broad range of complex cardiac conditions in both outpatient and hospitalized patients. · Perform and interpret echocardiograms, thoracic radiographs, electrocardiograms (ECGs), and Holter or telemetry monitoring to guide patient diagnosis and treatment planning. · Collaborate closely with Internal Medicine, Oncology, Surgery, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Emergency & Critical Care, and other specialty services to deliver comprehensive multidisciplinary patient care. · Assist in the intake, evaluation, and ongoing management of hospitalized cardiology patients while supporting continuity of care across specialties. · Accept and manage both community referral cases and internal specialty referrals, building strong relationships with referring veterinarians and hospital colleagues. · Create individualized treatment plans and guide pet owners through cardiac diagnoses, treatment options, and long-term management strategies with empathy, clarity, and confidence. · Facilitate in-house specialty consultations and provide expert cardiovascular support to Emergency and Critical Care teams as needed. · Maintain thorough and accurate medical records while ensuring timely communication with clients and referral partners. · Participate in collaborative rounds, case discussions, educational initiatives, and mentoring opportunities that contribute to ongoing professional growth and clinical excellence. · Contribute to a hospital culture centered on learning, collaboration, innovation, and exceptional patient outcomes.What You Bring· DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure. · Board Certification in Cardiology (DACVIM-Cardiology) or Residency Trained/Board Eligible in Cardiology. · Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach. · A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care. · A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing specialty medicine.Join UsAt Ethos, this isn't just a job, it's an opportunity to practice medicine at the highest level and help shape the future of veterinary care.Candidates can confidentially submit their CV to Jennifer Harper at
