We are looking for a Facilities Assistant to support daily front-of-house and workplace operations in Austin, Texas. This is a Contract position suited to someone who is organized, service-minded, and comfortable balancing reception coverage with facility support tasks. The role focuses on maintaining a welcoming environment, completing routine building checks, and assisting the workplace team with day-to-day operational needs.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct opening and closing inspections for designated floors to help ensure shared spaces are ready for the day and secured at day’s end.
• Perform scheduled walkthroughs across multiple floors to identify and address presentation, safety, or workplace support needs.
• Provide reception desk coverage during breaks, absences, or other periods when primary front-desk staff are unavailable.
• Welcome visitors and respond to on-site requests with professionalism, ensuring a positive arrival experience.
• Assist with workplace support activities, including resolving routine facility-related issues and coordinating daily service needs.
• Help prepare meeting and reservation areas for catered lunches and other scheduled events as needed.
• Partner with the workplace team throughout the day to adjust priorities and maintain smooth office operations.
• Support visitor communications and front-desk coordination, including handling incoming calls and directing inquiries appropriately.• Prior experience in reception, front-desk support, or workplace services in a detail-oriented office setting.
• Ability to manage a multi-line phone system and handle inbound calls in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to complete recurring tasks consistently and on schedule.
• Comfortable interacting with visitors, employees, and service partners in a customer-focused environment.
• Capable of moving between floors and performing routine walkthroughs during the workday.
• Dependable, adaptable, and able to provide coverage for varying front-desk and facilities support needs.
• Clear verbal communication skills and a detail-oriented approach at the reception area.
