Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients from pediatric to geriatric populations, utilizing a mix of standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Formulate unique treatment plans tailored to support immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing necessities.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions that prioritize communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise synchronized care plans.
• Provide insightful patient and family education to facilitate progress beyond the clinical environment.
• Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring ongoing continuity of care throughout their journey.
• Ensure precise and timely documentation adheres to state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Remain informed of the latest advancements in the field through continuous education and collaborative learning with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of your employment.
