Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart Surgical Technologist position in Mesa, Arizona. This role involves assisting with advanced cardiovascular surgical procedures, preparing operating rooms, and ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques. The technologist must be proficient in scrubbing on a minimum of two surgical specialties and capable of working under high pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, current basic life support (BLS) certification, certification as a surgical technologist, one to two years of experience in a surgical technologist role, or three to four years if experience is solely in a surgical technologist role. Must be registered with the relevant State Regulatory Agency. Proficient to scrub on at least two surgical specialties. Possess manual dexterity and can maintain professionalism in stressful situations.
• Preferred Qualifications: Additional related education and/or experience are preferred.
• Additional Information: The position requires physical agility, good visual and auditory acuity, and the ability to respond quickly to surgical needs. May require lifting up to 75 pounds and working a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. The role involves significant interaction with patients, surgeons, nurses, and external vendors, emphasizing service excellence and compliance with safety standards.
