Contract Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Amsterdam, NY

Location: Amsterdam, NY
Position Type: Contract (Full-Time Commitment)
Duration: 13 Weeks (Extensions Possible)

Available Shifts:

• 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (Evening Shift)
• 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM (Night Shift)

Pay Rate:

• Standard: $23/hour
• Contract Incentive: Up to $27/hour for candidates who commit to the full-time including every other Saturday & Sunday for 13-week schedule

We are currently seeking dependable and motivated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for a contract assignment in Amsterdam, NY. This opportunity is ideal for CNAs who are committed to consistency, professionalism, and delivering high-quality patient care.

Contract employees who meet full-time schedule expectations throughout the 13-week assignment are eligible to earn up to $27/hour, with potential for extension based on facility needs.

• Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and daily activities
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to nursing staff
• Maintain a clean and safe patient environment
• Support nursing staff with daily operational needs
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care at all times

This assignment requires a high level of reliability, accountability, and professionalism. To qualify for and maintain the enhanced contract rate (up to $27/hour) , the following expectations must be met:

• Full-time schedule commitment for the 13-week duration is required
• No more than 1 canceled shift permitted
• No-call / no-show incidents will not be tolerated
• Repeated tardiness is unacceptable
• Must maintain professional conduct at all times
• Any behavior that disrupts scheduling, operations, or patient safety will not be tolerated

• Staff must maintain active and reliable communication at all times
• Must be able to respond to or return calls/messages promptly
• Failure to communicate appropriately may impact scheduling and employment status

• Reliable transportation is mandatory — no exceptions
• Housing must be secured prior to hire
• Transportation or housing issues will not be accepted as valid reasons for absences, tardiness, or missed shifts
• No travel stipends, housing assistance, or accommodations will be provided

Failure to meet the above expectations may result in:

• Immediate termination or
• Reduction of pay rate to the standard $23/hour

Management reserves the right to take corrective action based on attendance, communication, performance, and overall contract compliance.

Requirements

• Active New York State CNA certification
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to commit to a consistent full-time schedule
• Must have a working phone and be responsive to calls and messages in a timely manner
• Reliable transportation is required
• Must have confirmed housing prior to assignment start
