Registered Nurse - Float Pool (Days) | Med/Surg, ICU & Emergency Shift Details

• Full-Time, 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday rotation required
• 2 on-call shifts required per 4-week period
• Must be able to float between Med/Surg, ICU, and Emergency Department units across two facility locations

Licensure

• Currently licensed by New York State as a Registered Professional Nurse
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Required Certifications

• BLS - through AHA or RQI system (required during clinical orientation)
• ACLS - through AHA or RQI system (required during clinical orientation)
• PALS - through AHA or RQI system (required during clinical orientation)
• NIHSS - required
• Basic Coronary Care - required within 6 months of hire
• CPI Certification - required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Certifications

• Certification by the Emergency Nurses Association - recommended within 2 years of hire
• TNCC - recommended within 2 years of hire

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Critical Care units
• Critical care experience required
• Must be cross-trained and comfortable floating to ICU, Emergency Department, Med/Surg, and Med/Surg Telemetry units
