HOME provides monthly housing assistance, emergency grants, and resource navigation to aging and disabled musicians who are at risk of housing instability. Founded by members of Austin’s music community, HOME exists to ensure that the artists who made Austin the Live Music Capital of the World can age with dignity, stability, and community connection. Through direct housing support and strategic partnerships, HOME helps musicians remain safely housed while accessing healthcare, public benefits, and other essential services. At its core, HOME is a small but deeply mission-driven organization rooted in relationship, respect, and a belief that cultural legacy is worth protecting. Reports To: Executive Director Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid; minimum 1–2 days per week in office at 1333 Shore District Drive) Schedule: Full-Time Status: Regular Staff Position About HOME Housing Opportunities for Musicians and Entertainers (HOME) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting aging Austin musicians through housing stability, emergency financial assistance, and access to essential social services. Founded by members of Austin’s music community, HOME is deeply rooted in preserving the cultural legacy of the artists who built this city’s sound while ensuring they can age with dignity, security, and connection. Position Overview HOME seeks a compassionate, highly organized Program Coordinator, Client Services to lead and operate the organization’s client services program. This full-time, hands-on position serves as both HOME’s primary case manager and program coordinator, functioning as a one-person department responsible for the day-to-day delivery, administration, and continuous improvement of client services. The Program Coordinator oversees all aspects of case management, coordinates supportive services, manages program logistics and documentation, and serves as the primary point of contact for HOME’s aging musician clients. This role requires balancing direct client support with program administration, data tracking, reporting, and partnership management. The Program Coordinator plays a central role in advancing HOME’s mission by delivering high-quality, trauma-informed services; strengthening relationships with housing providers, healthcare partners, and social service agencies; ensuring compliance and accurate recordkeeping; and representing HOME at community and organizational events. The position also serves as the primary staff liaison to the Client Services Committee and works closely with the Executive Director to maintain program quality, consistency, and continuity of care. This role requires regular in-person engagement with clients, participation in HOME events, and close collaboration with leadership, volunteers, and community partners. As HOME’s sole dedicated client services staff member, the Program Coordinator must be adaptable, self-directed, and comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Client Services & Case Management Provide client-centered, trauma-informed case management services to aging musicians. Maintain regular contact with clients to assess well-being, identify emerging needs, and develop individualized support plans. Assist clients in navigating and accessing public benefits and community-based resources, including housing assistance, healthcare, food support, utility relief, transportation services, and HOME’s annual grant renewal process. Advocate on behalf of clients with service providers, landlords, and partner agencies. Coordinate wraparound services to address clients’ short- and long‑term needs. Conduct regular client welfare checks by phone and in person to ensure safety and stability. Maintain working knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal programs and eligibility requirements. Serve as staff liaison to HOME’s Client Services Committee. Prepare and present client updates, program reports, and recommendations at committee and Board meetings. Support client review, renewal, and approval processes in collaboration with the committee and leadership. Database, Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client records, including contact information, eligibility documents, and case notes. Support development and ongoing management of HOME’s client database and reporting systems. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Texas Medical Records Privacy Act, and organizational data security standards. Contribute to program reporting for funders, audits, and internal review. Community Engagement & Organizational Support Attend and support HOME events, fundraisers, and community activities as a representative of the organization. Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, service providers, and referral networks. Assist with grant documentation, program reports, and administrative needs as required. Support the Executive Director with additional program‑related initiatives and projects. Deadline: March 13th Requirements What We’re Looking For Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program. Demonstrated experience working with older adults and/or vulnerable populations. Strong knowledge of public benefits systems and community resources. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries in compliance with HIPAA and applicable law. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and case management or database systems. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a small team environment. Preferred: Experience in housing stability, healthcare navigation, or aging services. Familiarity with nonprofit or arts‑based community organizations. Experience working with diverse, creative, or nontraditional populations. Personal Qualities: Compassionate, grounded, and emotionally mature. Highly reliable and detail-oriented. Comfortable working in dynamic environments. Deep respect for the dignity and legacy of Austin’s music community. Passion for music and/or Austin’s creative culture.
