Job Description:

The RN (Registered Nurse) in the Med Surg unit is responsible for providing nursing care to patients with diverse medical conditions, including COVID, respiratory, GI, diabetics, tele, TIA, CVA, and general, orthopedic, and spinal surgical patients.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret tele strips and sign them at least once each shift
• Provide care for patients utilizing Bipap, Cpap, high flow, and administer breathing treatments
• Manage a patient care ratio of 1:5
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care

Requirements:

• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience reading basic tele strips and with general and orthopedic surgical patients
• Proficiency with Cerner charting system recommended
