Travel ED RN - $2,500 per week

Integrated Healthcare Services is seeking a travel nurse RN Float ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Duration: 7 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Title: ED RN Location: Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles. Contract Length: 13 weeks Job Summary: Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients. Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses. Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team. Initiates, utilizes, and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care. Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols and documents according to policy. Identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care. Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel. Completes patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards. Required Qualifications: Two (2) years current experience required in large ED. Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment. Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment. Selected candidates MUST SUCCESSFULLY PASS a BCA (Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia) test. Candidates will not be able to start an assignment until they have passed this onsite administered test. Should they fail, candidates will have one opportunity to re-test; a second failure will result in contract cancellation and all applicable fees will be enforced. Preferred Qualifications: Epic experience preferred, but not required; can train on-site. Required Education: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN). Required Certifications & Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License. BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required.
