Senior Operations Manager – Ryder Pay Type: Exempt / Salary. $90,000 – $100,000 . Annual Bonus Incentive: up to 10% or more of salary per year. Schedule : Monday‑Friday, day shift. About the Role The Senior Operations Manager provides leadership for the Distribution Center and supervisors, directly responsible for turn key warehousing and transportation solutions. The incumbent maintains a high level interface directly with the customer on a regular basis. Responsibilities Interface directly with the customer to resolve issues and maintain high satisfaction. Strategic operational planning and execution for the operation. Identify and solve operational issues with accounts by implementing continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives, strengthening team unity, goals, and productivity. Hire, supervise, develop, and manage performance for employees, maintaining a positive employee relations environment. Maintain open and effective communication within and across work groups. Review data, identify and implement necessary actions as required. May manage profit and loss statements based on the complexity and scope of the organization. Lead proactive safety programs consistent with company policy; instruct and enforce location safety management plans, training, and processes. Monitor equipment maintenance within the work group using checklists and observations. Perform additional duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities Excellent problem‑solving skills. Capable of multitasking, highly organized with excellent time‑management and follow‑up practices. Qualifications H.S. diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred; Master’s degree in related field preferred. Five (5) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or industry‑related field required. Five (5) years or more managing, leading and developing direct reports required. Three (3) years or more Profit & Loss responsibility preferred. One (1) year or more customer interaction preferred.
