About the Role:
Join WHITTENDALE EXCAVATING CORP as an Equipment Operator in Mount Laurel, NJ, where you'll play a vital role in our excavation projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, bulldozers, and backhoes.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to meet project goals.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist in site preparation, grading, and excavation tasks.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other trades on site.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment usage.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications a plus.
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment in construction or excavation.
- Strong understanding of safety practices and regulations in construction.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and site plans.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
