Key Responsibilities for the Cost Accountant:
Manage cost accounting transactions and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies Analyze inventory valuation, cycle counts, and cost accuracy to prevent write-offs Support operational teams with cost reduction analysis and financial insights Prepare and update standard costs and cost rolls across manufacturing processes Assist with P&Ls, forecasts, budgets, and financial reporting Lead physical inventory counts and support ERP system enhancements
Qualifications for the Cost Accountant:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 4+ years of Cost Accountant experience in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial reporting, and inventory management Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
