The Northwest Center @ Amazon team operates in a fast-paced and demanding corporate environment where we provide professional 5-star customer service across several program divisions. The Audit team works in partnership with Facilities Management to audit Amazon corporate spaces in the Puget Sound region. Completing audits focusing on building operation readiness and full building inspection. These audits capture workspace and building data, and findings are shared with FM to resolve any discrepancies. The Audit team is also occasionally leveraged to complete special projects for the Real Estate and Facilities teams.

The Ops Lead, Facility Auditor (Lead Auditor) is an independent contributor who will provide operational oversight, performance insight, project coordination, and audit execution. The Lead assigns and monitors workload, ensures team completion of assignments, and supports quality assurance, metrics tracking, and program document creation. This individual must coordinate closely with Facilities Management, other stakeholders or vendors, and Auditors to appropriately escalate identified risks and resolve roadblocks.

The ideal candidate is an effective communicator, values accuracy and efficiency, embraces the challenge of a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, possesses strong attention to detail, can proactively identify challenges posed to the team, and can operate both autonomously and as part of a team.

Location:  Seattle, Bellevue $ Redmond
Pay Rate: $29.19 per hour - $33.00 per hour 
Schedule : Monday - Friday between 6am - 430pm (8hr shift)

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions  

Operational and Administrative Coordination

• Coordinate administrative personnel responsibilities for the team including but not limited to assigning audits/projects, monitoring team completion, and tracking team metrics.
• Review audit schedule, evaluate and prioritize ad hoc requests, and assign to appropriate personnel, ensuring the best use of resources.
• Communicate with leadership, stakeholders, vendors, and customers regarding audit rotations, project schedule, status and/or progress.

• Oversee the daily activities required to complete individual or large-scale tasks within established timelines.

• Identify potential challenges or project risks. Understand the root cause of issues and associated impacts to the team or customer served. Communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders to implement timely solutions.
• Become a subject matter expert of all building operations including but not limited to security access levels, facility procedures, vendor points of contact, and escalation processes.
• Oversee on-site activity for active assignments and address any issues necessary to achieve quality and timeline standards.
• Create instructional documentation and related resources for current program practices.

Team Support  

• Ensure Auditors abide by audit and project guidelines; provide feedback or training to team on quality and timeliness of work.
• Communicate changes and updates to Auditors, ensuring team and program alignment for timely completion of tasks or deliverables.
• Work closely with the Assistant Manager to bring attention to team members’ performance and collaborate on coaching.
• Conduct quality control inspections during and after audits/projects to evaluate the quality of work and effectiveness of team members.
• Participate in interviewing Audit candidates and training new and existing team members.

Audit Support  

• Conduct building audits and inspections per Amazon’s Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) Site Inspection Program (SIP). Ensure timely submission of audit findings within expected time frames.
• Proactively identify and log facilities issues in the client’s ticket/work order system for timely resolution prior to occupant or onsite user impact.
• Assume day-to-day responsibility for assigned work and successful task completion.
• Provide hands-on support by auditing, potentially focusing on highly visible buildings or those with key activity.
• Communicate with stakeholders according to established processes in case of Auditor call-outs. Potentially complete additional audits to supplement coverage.
• Assist with new tasks, processes, or projects as needed to support evolving team requirements, other NWC divisions, and Amazon partners. 

Needed Experience & Requirements  

Education : 

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of customer service, facilities/real estate support, or administrative experience.
• Proficiency with Windows-based systems, web browsers, and professional email communication (Outlook).
• Experience Preferred:
  • Use of Excel or Smartsheet spreadsheet programs for data analysis
  • Experience using workplace communication tools (i.e. Slack, Zoom, Teams)
  • High mobility: ability to switch between sitting and standing for different tasks

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

 

• Must be able to frequently carry and lift a backpack containing a laptop and other supplies, up to 50 pounds.
• May need to carry supplies to other buildings.
• Ability to walk consistently within a 1.5-mile radius is required.
• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language.
• Ability to see both distance and details at close range, within a few feet of the observer (with or without corrective lenses).
• Ability to identify and understand the speech of another person (with or without a personal auditory hearing device).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including arriving early, staying late on a moment’s notice and occasional evening and weekend shifts.
