Overview


The Mechanical Engineer PE I applies standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair, or improve products, components, or assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Sign and seal engineering documents.
• Analyze, develop, and evaluate systems.
• Improve and maintain current systems or create new projects.
• Design and draft blueprints, visit systems in the field, and manage projects.
• Apply engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment.
• Perform work under general supervision.
• Handle complex issues and problems, referring only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Professional Engineer License (PE)
• 4-6 years of experience
• Possesses working knowledge of the subject matter
• Critical thinking skills

• Technical expertise
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
• Travel requirement: 5-10% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location
• Physical/Work Environment Requirements: ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles; climbing stairs; moving self in various positions; working in tight and confined spaces; repeating motions; operating machinery and power tools; outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and wind; noisy environment; light to heavy work including moving objects from 20-100 pounds
