Inventory Management Specialist

Job Overview Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for TWO full time Inventory Management Specialists, (GG-2010-11) , performing within Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (HNC), at Air Force Lifecycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Joint Base (JB) San Antonio – Lackland, Texas. Salary: ($75,776- $98,514) based on experience. Depending on the type of position you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period. This is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position aligned under authorities of Section 1601, Chapter 83 of Title 10, United States Code and DoD Instruction 1400.25-V2007. This position can close at any time. Qualifications / Requirements Must be a U.S. Citizen This position is designated as a Drug Test Designated Position Must be able to obtain and maintain a “Top Secret” security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Must sign a nondisclosure agreement Knowledge of a wide range of supply concepts, principals, and practices to include use of automated systems and/or equipment; of Department of War (DoW), National Security Agency (NSA), Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division logistics procedures and policies; and of acquisition processes, automated records, logistics systems, and the storage, issue, and disposal processes. Knowledge of specialized analytical methods and techniques to resolve difficult inventory management issues and problems; and budgeting, procurement, and funding processes related to inventory management functions. Skill to interpret, adapt, and apply inventory management guidelines as it pertains to assigned specializations and functions; and to independently analyze and resolve difficult inventory management issues and problems, and to consider and apply several alternatives. Skill providing technical advice in terms of oral and written briefings, reports, and provides training opportunities as well as makes recommendations to senior leadership; and in carrying out assignments, operations, and procedures in the occupation that are significantly more difficult and complex. Ability to apply in-depth knowledge of inventory management to interpret policy direction for specific operating requirements, or to develop guidance for applying inventory management policies, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods to a variety of work situations involving various degrees or levels of control. Ability to apply inventory management laws, regulations, policies, procedures, techniques, principles, and methods to plan for inventory requirements and accountability. Mastery of ability to develop and maintain contacts and communicate effectively with senior leaders and associates across the Air Force, DoW, Federal Agencies, vendor representatives, representatives of professional associations, and contractor personnel; regularly includes executive level interaction.
