Your Role on the Team Position Summary Incumbent is responsible for delivering social services, including psychosocial evaluation and treatment, advocacy, teaching, referrals to community services, and assisting as needed with discharge planning. Participates in case coverage and other necessary support for other social workers in the Department of Clinical Social Work / Care Coordination. Participates in formal and informal teaching, including supervision of social work graduate students and in-service education for nurses, nursing students, medical residents, fellows, interns, and ancillary staff. What It Takes to be Successful Required Qualifications Clinical Social Worker II Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Master's Degree in Social Work Knowledge of and ability to work within a complex health care system Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to interpret and implement all applicable standards and regulations such as, The Joint Commission, DHS, and the Child Abuse Registry Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Required Qualifications Clinical Social Worker III Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Skills to interpret and implement hospital, JCAHO, Health Department and Child Abuse Registry standards and regulations Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Current Clinical Social Work License issued by the Board of Behavioral Sciences Knowledge of and ability to work within a complex health care system Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms Currently posses an ASW License Licenses and Certifications Lic Clinical Social Worker - Required for Clin Social Worker III Education Total Rewards We offer a wealth of benefits to make working at UCI even more rewarding.
