Enterprise Applications Engineer

Compensation: $87,000 – $130,000 Base Salary + Annual Business Performance Bonus Reports To: Senior IT Development Manager ERP Environment: Infor CloudSuite Industrial (CSI / Syteline) Working closely with Streck's IT leadership team, we are identifying a technically minded ERP professional who can help support, enhance, and evolve one of the company's most business-critical systems. This is not a traditional ERP Administrator, functional Business Analyst, or software engineering role focused solely on application development. Streck is seeking a technical ERP problem solver who thrives at the intersection of ERP systems, SQL development, enterprise integrations, manufacturing operations, business process improvement, and software engineering. The successful candidate will become one of the primary technical owners of Streck's highly customized ERP ecosystem while partnering with stakeholders across manufacturing, supply chain, operations, finance, customer service, quality, distribution, and commercial teams to solve complex business challenges and drive continuous improvement throughout the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong ERP experience, excellent SQL and database skills, experience supporting integrations between enterprise systems, and a natural curiosity to learn unfamiliar technologies, processes, and business functions. The platform contains extensive customizations, integrations, reports, stored procedures, workflows, and business-specific processes that have evolved over many years. Success in this role requires much more than maintaining an ERP application. You will investigate business problems, develop technical solutions, support integrations, troubleshoot system issues, improve workflows, work directly with business stakeholders, and help shape the future evolution of Streck's ERP ecosystem. The Mandate Become a Technical ERP Subject Matter Expert Develop deep expertise in Streck's ERP platform and supporting ecosystem Learn and understand existing customizations, integrations, workflows, reports, and business processes Troubleshoot complex technical and functional ERP issues Support ongoing ERP enhancements and optimization initiatives Serve as a trusted technical resource for ERP-related projects and business initiatives Drive Technical Development and System Improvements Create and modify stored procedures, scripts, reports, forms, jobs, and database objects Develop and support ERP customizations and enhancements Assist with application configuration and administration Support ERP upgrades, testing, validation, and deployment activitiesParticipate in technical solution design and architecture discussions Develop and maintain technical documentation Support Enterprise Integrations Support integrations between ERP and surrounding enterprise applications Troubleshoot API, database, EDI, and application connectivity issues Support EDI onboarding, mapping, maintenance, and troubleshooting Work with internal and external partners to resolve technical issues Assist with data exchange and process automation initiatives Partner With The Business Gather requirements and understand business challenges across manufacturing, operations, supply chain, finance, customer service, quality, procurement, and distribution Recommend process improvements and technical solutions Translate business requirements into scalable system capabilities Provide technical guidance and support to business users Help improve operational efficiency through technology Support Innovation and Emerging Technologies Evaluate opportunities for automation and workflow optimization Participate in future initiatives involving AI-assisted development and intelligent business process support Explore new technologies that can improve efficiency, accuracy, and user experience Help identify opportunities where technology can create measurable business value Organizational Scope Primary stakeholders include: Manufacturing Supply Chain Operations Procurement Distribution Finance Customer Service Quality Commercial Operations Database Administration Enterprise Applications IT Infrastructure This position operates within a highly collaborative environment and regularly partners with both technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the organization. Qualifications Required 3+ years of ERP development, ERP engineering, ERP systems analysis, ERP application support, or related enterprise systems experience Strong SQL experience, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and database-driven solutions Experience troubleshooting integrations, interfaces, APIs, or data flows between enterprise applications Experience supporting ERP systems within manufacturing, industrial, distribution, life sciences, medical device, or similarly complex operational environments Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work onsite in Omaha, Nebraska a minimum of three days per week Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience Strongly Preferred Infor CloudSuite Industrial (CSI) / Syteline experience ERP customization and development experience Manufacturing ERP experience EDI integration and support experience API development or integration experience Experience supporting highly customized ERP environments Experience working directly with manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or finance stakeholders Exposure to AI, automation, intelligent workflows, or AI-assisted software development Compensation Eligible for Streck's Annual Business Performance Bonus Program (target opportunity up to 5%) Relocation Assistance Available Success In This Role Success will be defined by your ability to become a trusted technical expert within Streck's ERP environment, solve complex business and system challenges, strengthen integrations across the technology ecosystem, and help the organization leverage technology to improve operational performance.
