General Manager, Growth & Supply
Morpheus Talent Solutions
General Manager, Participant Supply & Marketplace Growth
$230k - $320k base + 30% bonus + equity
Morpheus are partnered with a profitable, bootstrapped research platform that connects companies with real people for qualitative and usability research. The core business is already profitable and not VC-backed, and it is now having a breakout moment in AI: work on training and evaluations with leading AI labs is driving roughly 10x growth this year.
The Opportunity
This is a GM role owning Supply: the network of research participants who take part in customer studies. Supply operates almost like a standalone business within the company. Today it serves one customer, the company's own research products, and it has the potential to serve many more if monetised properly.
Studies do get filled, but it can be a nail-biter, even with partners involved. The reason is simple: nobody is focused on supply every waking moment of every day. This hire changes that.
You will inherit a small team, including a Senior Manager for Growth Marketing (Participant Acquisition) and a Director-level IC for Supply and Strategy, and you will set the direction for the entire function. You'll work closely with Supply and Demand leadership, Sales and the data team in a flat, highly collaborative organisation.
What You'll Own
The full supply function, end to end:
strategy, planning and day-to-day performance of participant acquisition and engagement
Forecasting and data:
build granular tracking of supply health, fill rates and CAC, and close existing reporting gaps
Supply and demand balance:
manage the natural tension between both sides, knowing when to push back and when to flex
New sourcing channels:
bring fresh thinking through new recruiting platforms, partnerships and existing communities
Specialised audiences:
studies typically run with 10 to 20 participants, with volumes in the low thousands, against a high quality bar and specific demographic criteria. Identify repeat demand (e.g. financial consumers) and invest in dedicated audiences that pay for themselves within two or three studies
Monetisation:
treat supply as a business with its own economics and grow revenue beyond a single customer
The next horizon:
form a point of view on synthetic data and digital twin research over the next 18 to 24 months, and how to build or acquire those capabilities alongside human participants
What You'll Bring
Previous GM experience with genuine ownership of a P&L, business line or function's outcomes
A background running supply, ideally participant, panel, marketplace or crowd supply for research, data or a two-sided platform
A deeply data-driven approach: comfortable building forecasts, defining metrics and managing to unit economics
Strong commercial instincts and the ability to spot where investing in supply will drive demand
Creativity in sourcing, with a track record of building or leveraging partnerships and communities to grow a pool of people
The confidence to hold your ground in supply vs demand conversations while staying collaborative
Genuine curiosity about where research is heading, including synthetic data and digital twins
Nice to Have
Experience in user research, market research or AI human data (training and evaluation).
What's On Offer
Total cash split roughly 70% base and 30% bonus
A meaningful equity grant, mixing time-based and performance-based vesting (4-year vest, 1-year cliff)
A very strong benefits package
The chance to build a function into a business in its own right during a period of rapid AI-driven growth
