Senior Accountant

Employees in this job take the lead role in special projects. These projects include reporting on issues that affect the company. They also involve making recommendations for solutions and following through to resolution. This will be an onsite role, and you will report to the Accounting Manager.Key Responsibilities:Record operated and non-operated revenue across all products.Ensure accurate posting of monthly revenue entries.Prepare cash entries and reclassifications as neededProcess reverse and rebook entries when requiredAnalyze accrual-to-actual variances and investigate discrepanciesPrepare monthly journal entries in SAP and ExcaliburComplete and review monthly revenue reconciliationsPerform quarterly reconciliations between Excalibur and SAPAnalyze and reconcile intercompany account balancesAssist with owner inquiries, including detailed reconciliations and issue resolutionConduct financial analysis to validate monthly entries and ensure accuracyCollaborate with internal departments to obtain necessary revenue dataFollow up with non-operated partners regarding missing revenue informationWork with Division Order group to resolve non-op and Take-in-Kind revenue issuesCoordinate and respond to internal and external audit requestsMaintains a good understanding of, and applies, GAAP, SEC regulations, and related company policies, practices and proceduresAssures accounting integrity of corporate financial data through the implementation of appropriate internal controlsPerforms other job-related duties and special projects as assignedQualifications:Bachelor's - Accounting / Finance / BusinessExperience: 5+ yearsOur Safety Pledge to You:If you are as committed to your success as we are committed to your safety, then this is the position for you!
