Job Summary


The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for the evaluation, creation, and implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy plans, accurate and reliable data collection, consultation, and training with families and staff. The BCBA collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to create and maintain therapy plans that address all behavioral and skill acquisition needs of clients.


The role requires the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. The ideal candidate can interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions, read and analyze inquiries or complaints from clients, and effectively present information to top management.

Core Job Responsibilities

• Assessments: Conduct initial evaluations to determine appropriate programming, therapy frequency, and individualized plans.
• Plan Management: Maintain a comprehensive therapy plan for each client, outlining long-range goals, short-range objectives, targeted activities, and progress evaluations.
• Reporting: Evaluate progress and prepare required insurance reports as dictated by payers or requested by parents/guardians.
• Family Collaboration: Arrange regular parent meetings to maintain open communication and provide family training.
• Supervision: Maintain a minimum of 10% direct supervision and a minimum of 10% indirect supervision per week for each client.

Clinical Supervisory Responsibilities

• Provide assigned targeted caseload hours per week of direct therapy.
• Maintain timely, professional clinical documentation for all direct patient care provided.
• Complete documentation for all pre-authorizations, initial evaluations, assessments, insurance reports, and progress updates.

Qualifications

• Certification: National Certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
• Education: Master's Degree in a relevant field from an accredited university.
• Training: Completion of the BACB 8-hour online, competency-based supervisor training module is preferred.
• Clinical Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant diagnostic tools, procedures, and sensory/behavioral strategies.
• Skills: Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
