BookkeeperSalem, OR | On-Site Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pay: $31.25-$33.50/hourOur client, a well-established professional services firm with a long-standing reputation for client service, is seeking a bookkeeper to join their team in Salem, Oregon. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working with multiple clients, managing payroll, and supporting financial operations in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.This position is fully on-site through mid-January and offers a stable, supportive workplace where employees work closely together to meet important client deadlines while maintaining a positive and engaging culture.Key ResponsibilitiesManage bookkeeping services for multiple business clients, including account reconciliations, transaction coding, and financial record maintenance.Process payroll for multiple client accounts and ensure timely payroll tax reporting and compliance.Handle accounts payable processing and vendor payments.Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial statements.Support bookkeeping cleanup projects and bring client records to a tax-ready status.Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.Maintain accounting records for multi-entity organizations and businesses with multiple operating locations. Utilize QuickBooks to manage and reconcile financial activity.Track fixed assets, construction projects, and capital expenditures when applicable.Collaborate with internal accounting and tax professionals to meet deadlines and support client needs.Respond to client inquiries related to bookkeeping, payroll, and financial records.Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of all financial information.Qualifications3+ years of bookkeeping experience.Experience supporting multiple clients, entities, or industries.Proficiency with QuickBooks preferred.Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accounts payable, and payroll processing.
