Position Overview

This position is available for a dedicated healthcare professional eager to start in October. Candidates must have at least two years of experience in a hospital setting. This role is situated in a rehabilitation environment, where team collaboration is essential to provide high-quality patient care.

Location: Richmond, VA

Number of Beds: 44
Patient Ratios: 4:1
Unit Staffing: 10 Occupational/Physical Therapy teams, 3 Speech Therapists, 1 Tech

Unit Specifics

Types of Equipment: Sara Lifts, Ceiling Lifts, Bioness, Diego
Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
Scheduling Requirements: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7 AM and 5 PM, with weekends rotating.
Floating Policy: Potential to float to the acute hospital if rehab census is low.

Patient Experience Requirements

Candidates must utilize AIDET communication and practice immediate service recovery techniques to ensure a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

Inpatient Rehabilitation experience
Proven experience with stroke evaluation and treatment

Responsibilities

The position involves performing various rehabilitation procedures, including:

Manual therapy for neurological re-education
Therapeutic exercise and functional activity training
Neuromuscular re-education
Self-care assistance
Functional electrical stimulation (e-stim)

Dress Code

Required uniform consists of black scrub bottoms and a royal blue top.
