Welder IV Location: Houston, TX Pay Rate: $22 - $26 per hour, W2 Duration: 12+ Month Contract Summary:
- The Welder will be required to carry out cladding on machined parts to a high degree of quality.
- Work on his/her own initiative to meet the production schedule of the plant.
- Ability to weld many different types of components related to Gas and Steam turbine repairs.
- This position may be required to flex between first and second shift as needed.
- Performing visual and in-process inspections in accordance with API and ISO quality specifications.
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings & specifications.
- Overlay of components using Tig & MiG per weld procedures.
- Setting up and welding components within the parameters of the specific weld procedure.
- Detailing grinding of components after weld repairs.
- Adhering to Company Safety and Environmental policies.
- High School Diploma or equivalent diploma.
- Minimum 7 years of experience.
- Experience of using foot control Tig and MiG machines.
- Adhering to Company quality procedures.
- Experience with SMAW & GMAW welding procedures.
- Experience of manual TIG.
- Advanced degree can be substituted for experience.
