Control Systems Engineer

Salary: $95,000 - 130,000 per year Requirements:

• We require an associate degree in Electrical or Instrument Technology, or a high school diploma/GED plus five years of relevant experience; an engineering bachelors degree is also considered.
• We need at least two years of experience with industrial control systems.
• A valid drivers license is required.
• Preferred: proficiency with Honeywell Experion and TDC3000.
• Preferred: prior experience in refining process controls.

• We design, implement, and maintain process control strategies to improve unit performance and reliability.
• We troubleshoot and resolve control system issues across hardware, software, and network components.
• We work closely with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to address operational challenges and build strong relationships with console operators.
• We maintain and optimize Honeywell Experion PKS and TDC 3000 DCS platforms, including configuration, troubleshooting, and upgrades, to support safe and efficient refinery operations.
• We support Triconex SIS and Rockwell Automation PLCs through logic changes and testing.
• We develop and maintain control narratives, logic diagrams, and technical system documentation.
• We manage controls projects, including scope definition, vendor coordination, and commissioning.
• We create, update, and maintain operator graphics and HMIs for DCS, SIS, PLC, and SCADA systems in line with refinery standards.
• We maintain and troubleshoot industrial networks.
• We provide on-call support and assist during outages and turnarounds for control systems.
