The nurse will be responsible for caring for patients in Progressive Care and Medical Surgical units. A float within the service line and scope of practice may be needed. Every other weekend work is required. Knowledge of medication systems is essential. Telemetry experience is necessary. Candidates must have current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications. Candidates must have experience in managing dysrhythmias and central line care. The unit will accept first-time travelers, but local candidates are not accepted within a 50-mile radius. The nurse should have experience managing IVs and peripheral line care. The patient population will include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. A basic understanding of Epic charting is mandatory. References from the last 24 months are required. Candidates should be aware of the need for compliance with vaccination requirements. Travelers should expect to float to other units or facilities as needed. This role does not allow for block scheduling, and changes may occur with two weeks' notice. Candidates should acknowledge that they may need to make up shifts if calling out sick. The facility emphasizes teamwork and the importance of balancing the schedule.
