Staff Nurse - Full-Time/Days - Medical

Responsibilities:

1. Assessing the needs of the patients as assigned based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data while also providing appropriate age specific nursing interventions which are consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice.
2. Fostering an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors.
3. Utilizing appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patients and staff.
4. Utilizing standard work in relation to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
5. Contributing to the overall performance of the department through precepting and mentoring novice employees.
6. Contributing to the department growth and performance through hospital-system initiatives cultivating nursing involved Evidence Based Practices.
7. Demonstrating continued professional growth through setting goals and participating in educational offerings.
8. Will float to assist in other like units as needed.
9. Performing all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Advanced resuscitative certification appropriate to population if serving in a charge nurse role.
