Quality Control Inspector IIILocation: Jessup, MDExperience: 4–5+ years of related inspection experienceEnvironment: Aerospace/AS9100 manufacturingPosition OverviewThis is an advanced mechanical inspection role focused on making sure components and assemblies meet blueprint, dimensional, aesthetic, and workmanship requirements.You'll perform hands-on inspections using CMM equipment, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and hardness testing equipment. You'll also review inspection results, complete documentation, identify nonconforming parts, and work with Engineering and Operations to address quality issues.Apply promptly! A high volume of applicants is expected for the role as detailed below, do not wait to send your CV.Key Responsibilities:Perform dimensional, mechanical, and visual inspections of parts and assembliesProgram, set up, and operate CMM equipmentInterpret CMM inspection reports and measurement resultsUse advanced GD&T, including multiple datums and complex relationshipsRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specificationsUse micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and hardness testing equipmentVerify parts meet customer and company specificationsComplete inspection reports, travelers, SPC documentation, and other quality recordsIdentify and document nonconforming material and generate NCRsVerify supplier documentation, part numbers, revisions, certifications, and other required informationEnsure inspection equipment and tools are properly calibratedWork with Engineering and Operations on quality issues and corrective actionsWork independently while meeting production timelinesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaRequired Experience & Skills:High school diploma or GED4–5 years of related inspection experience or equivalent experience/educationExperience working in an AS9100 environmentStrong advanced GD&T knowledgeExperience with CMM programming, setup, and operationStrong blueprint and drawing interpretation skillsProficiency using calipers, micrometers, and height gaugesStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionGood written and verbal communicationAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentWork Environment:This is a hands-on manufacturing environment, so candidates should be comfortable working around:Moving mechanical equipmentMachinery and production areasLoud noiseChemicals, fumes, or airborne particlesHot and cold temperaturesVibration and other manufacturing-related hazardsElectrical equipmentPPE may be required.The position requires frequent standing and walking and regularly using your hands for inspection work. xhyhwjd Candidates may occasionally need to bend, kneel, crouch, climb, or crawl and may frequently lift or move up to 50 lbs.Schedule & FlexibilityFast-paced environment with multiple projectsMust be flexible to work overtime, evenings, or weekends, sometimes with limited advance notice.Other RequirementsMust be authorized to work in the United StatesPosition is subject to ITAR/EAR export control requirements
