Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and specialized pelvic floor rehab expertise for a 13-week travel contract at an academic medical center in Washington, DC.

Details

• 100% pelvic floor rehabilitation caseload
• Schedule is 5x8-hour day shifts per week, 40 hours per week
• Must be available to work one holiday if needed
• Academic medical center setting

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of PT experience in a US hospital setting required
• Specialized experience in pelvic floor rehabilitation is required — candidates without this experience will not be considered
• Completed post-graduate instruction in pelvic floor rehab is required
• Degree in Physical Therapy required
• Active PT license required (no pending licenses); license required if applicable
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• First Aid certification preferred
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include comprehensive evaluation, program planning, and treatment administration as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Performs detailed clinical assessments based on individual patient needs upon physician referral and develops age-appropriate plans of care
• Accurate and thorough documentation of patient treatment is expected
• Candidates must live more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• CPI certification is mandated for this position
