Labor and Delivery Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods in a hospital setting. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor medications and interventions for laboring mothers and newborns.
• Assist with labor and delivery procedures, including vaginal births and C-sections.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Document patient care and clinical observations accurately in EMR systems.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and support staff to coordinate care.
• Respond swiftly to obstetric emergencies and provide critical support when needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with relevant Obstetrics and Gynecology experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Ability to work independently, show flexibility, and be a team player.
• Strong clinical skills in labor management, postpartum, and newborn care.
• Knowledge of medical equipment such as GE Monitors, PandaWarmers, and Neptune.
