WHO SHOULD APPLY:

Copy Strategist at Coalition Technologies is a unique position that requires excellence in copywriting, editing, and management. Team members with experience in the fields of writing, marketing, advertising, and web content development have all excelled in this position. We will teach industry-leading SEO best practices. Candidates with prior SEO experience are always welcome.

YOU SHOULD HAVE:

• Excellent written English with strong proofreading skills for flawless grammar, punctuation, and syntax. You must be able to achieve an excellent level of writing and editing without the use of AI tools.
• An affinity for leadership, and an understanding of proper delegation.
• An interest in learning how to write for the web and SEO practices.
• The ability to write and follow strict content production guidelines.
• The motivation to work both as a team player and independently on projects with minimal supervision.
• The ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion concerning client information.
• A reliable workstation with a fast computer, microphone, and webcam. Reliable internet access and power are required.
• A general understanding of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, Tumblr, LinkedIn, etc.
• The availability to work 40 hours per week from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm PST.
• Experience/education as a marketing copywriter, advertising copywriter, or in a similar professional position. (preferred)
• A degree in English, public relations, advertising, creative writing, or a related field. (preferred)
• Bonus points for prior experience in a position of management and mentorship. (preferred)

YOUR DUTIES AND TASKS:

• Plan and produce new content for eCommerce and lead generation websites on a share of Coalition Technologies' 200+ client accounts. The goal is to help our clients attract new customers, improve their Google search ranking (SEO), and increase their visibility to AI (GEO/AEO).
• Lead a team of SEO copywriters. Provide the direction and information to support their success, along with feedback to help improve their work. - Your focus will be on delegating copywriting work rather than writing the content yourself.
• Act as the supervising copy editor on your accounts. Our writers and producers will look to you as a content specialist and a manager of the brand's voice. Ensure content quality with an exceptional representation of the brand's identity and value propositions. Proper spelling, grammar, and syntax are fundamental.
• Conduct keyword research for each page on a client's website. Become an effective online marketing manager by pairing their products and services with the most relevant search terms. Coalition Technologies will provide this training.
• Speak directly with clients concerning copy production. This includes kickoff calls for onboarding new clients and regular alignment calls to -ensure that web content correctly represents their brand, products, and services.
• Collaborate with multiple other team members, including digital producers, link builders, designers, and developers. You will ultimately be responsible for ensuring content is published live on clients' websites and will work with others to make it happen.
• Coordinate web content for multiple ongoing campaigns. Although the core of this role is search engine optimization, you may produce social media content, email marketing copy, press releases, and other promotional materials.

We are looking for talented and diligent candidates who excel in our skills tests, and will consider these candidates even if past experience or educational background criteria aren't met.

California, New York, Washington, and Colorado: starting base pay for this position ranges between $17 - $35 per hour. Compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills test performance, geographic location, and seniority of the position offered. Outside of California, New York, Washington, and Colorado compensation may fall outside the above ranges.
