Job Description
We are seeking a talented piano teacher to join our team this Fall! The ideal candidate thrives in a kid friendly environment and is committed to fun and inclusive arts education. The lessons take place at our studio space in Oak Park with the option to add in-home lessons (within 1-2 miles of our studio) and online lessons.
Responsibilities:
- Lead engaging and interactive lessons for students of varying skill levels ages 6-12+.
- Provide constructive feedback and individualized instruction to help students develop their musical abilities
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, teamwork, and self-expression.
- Prepare students for performances throughout the year
Requirements:
- Previous experience teaching music, preferably 2+ years
- Must be proficient in piano and have a strong musical background
- Ability to teach beginner to intermediate students
- Ability to build rapport with clients and be a strong communicator
- Bachelor's degree in music or a related field preferred, but not required
- Pass a background check
Job type: Contract
Expected hours: 3-6 hrs weekly with option to add more
