About Songscription We're a music learning AI lab on a mission to enable anyone to play any song they can imagine. Our first product, Songscription, is the AI-powered \"Shazam for sheet music\" which allows people to upload any audio and get back sheet music, MIDI, tabs, or piano roll back in minutes. Hundreds of thousands of musicians have used it to transcribe songs that have never been written down before. Our second product, Anything Piano, is an app that lets users upload any song and learn it through an interactive piano roll with real-time feedback. We've raised a $5M seed led by Reach Capital and been covered in TechCrunch, Billboard, and MusicRadar. The team is small, the pace is fast, and we're just getting started. Role Description We're hiring a Growth Engineer to own the technical side of our growth engine, reporting directly to the CEO and CPO. You'll strategize, build, and ship the PLG mechanics, SEO infrastructure, conversion tooling, lifecycle automation, and analytics systems that power our next phase of growth. This role is ideal for someone with strong coding fundamentals, deep passion for music, and an obsession with user analytics. Curiosity and grit matter more than years of experience. Key Responsibilities (examples, not exhaustive) Business impact & growth model ownership: Own the technical growth work that moves Songscription's core business metrics. Build and maintain a growth model across acquisition, activation, retention, monetization, and referral loops; prioritize engineering work based on expected impact; define success metrics before shipping; and report results in terms of activated users, organic signups, conversion, retention, revenue, and paid subscriber growth. Product-led growth: Build sharing mechanics, referral and UGC programs, in-product conversion flows, optimize product activation funnel through experimentation Analytics & experimentation: Build growth dashboards, design and run A/B tests; report on full funnel conversion, and retention metrics Lifecycle & retention: Build lifecycle email flows triggered on activation events, milestones, and churn signals Identify cohort-level drop-off and ship product-side interventions SEO & content infrastructure: Build and maintain technical and programmatic SEO/AEO content and infrastructure About You Strong coding fundamentals (frontend, backend, analytics) Passion for music; you play, make, or have a deep connection to it You move fast, take ownership, and are both creative and data-driven You obsess over user analytics and data analysis Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate Benefits Medical, Vision, Dental, and Life Insurance PTO + team events $130K-$180K + Equity #J-18808-Ljbffr Songscription
