Job Title: Accounting Manager
Pay : $40-45 per hour
Hours : Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Ready to take the next step in your accounting career? A growing manufacturing organization in the Youngstown, Ohio area is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to play a key role in strengthening its financial operations.


In this role, you'll partner with both finance and operations teams to oversee key accounting functions, support accurate cost and financial analysis, and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys working in a manufacturing environment and wants to make a meaningful impact on the organization's continued success.


What You'll Do

• Direct general ledger oversight, including account reconciliations and coordinating the monthly financial close.
• Review and maintain manufacturing cost structures while evaluating standard-cost fluctuations and variances.
• Assist with inventory accounting, cost-of-goods-sold calculations, and accurate financial reporting.
• Partner with finance and production teams to uncover opportunities for greater cost efficiency and streamlined processes.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development to accounting staff while promoting accuracy, consistency, and adherence to company procedures.

What You'll Bring

• Strong background working with manufacturing costs, including standard costing methodologies and related financial analysis.
• Approximately 5-8 years of increasing responsibility within cost accounting or operational finance, including 2-3 years of experience leading or supervising others.
• Highly analytical with the ability to review detailed financial information, identify trends, and maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Solid understanding of inventory accounting, cost management practices, and analyzing variances to identify opportunities for improvement.

Location & Schedule
This position is on-site in the Youngstown area and offers a standard Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
