Roadway/Highway Engineer II

Job Overview HNTB’s Tampa, FL office is seeking a Roadway Engineer II to join our Engineering design team. The role involves coordinating and delivering transportation engineering projects within scope, budget, and time schedules from initial start‑up through project close‑out. What You’ll Do Complete assigned work within schedule and number of hours. Prepare and/or modify select portions of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations. Develop project quantities and assist with cost estimates. Assist engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files. Self‑sufficiency in research, data collection, field investigations, development, and design. Perform other duties as assigned. What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree in Engineering and 1 year of relevant experience. What You’ll Bring Proficiency in applying engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD or other software as required. What We Prefer FDOT experience. Master’s degree in Engineering.
