Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Billing Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist with a strong background in Orthopedic and Chiropractic billing . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing insurance claims, following up on unpaid accounts, resolving claim denials, and maximizing reimbursements while ensuring compliance with payer guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of accounts receivable for orthopedic and chiropractic claims.
• Follow up with commercial insurance carriers, Medicare, Medicaid, and workers' compensation claims.
• Investigate and resolve denied, rejected, and underpaid claims.
• Submit corrected claims, appeals, and supporting documentation as needed.
• Post insurance and patient payments accurately.
• Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs).
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits when necessary.
• Identify billing trends and recommend solutions to improve collections.
• Maintain accurate patient account documentation.
• Work closely with providers and office staff to resolve billing issues.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all payer regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of medical billing and AR experience , preferably in orthopedic and/or chiropractic practices.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.
• Experience with insurance appeals, denial management, and claim resolution.
• Familiarity with EHR/EMR and medical billing software.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet productivity goals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-specialty or private practice billing.
• Knowledge of workers' compensation and personal injury billing.
• Medical Billing or Coding certification (preferred but not required).
