Sales Associate

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional Customer Service and driving Sales through effective Communication and comprehensive Product Knowledge. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Retail Sales, adept at Cash Handling, and committed to creating a positive shopping experience for every customer. You will play a key role in maintaining store standards, assisting customers with their needs, and contributing to a vibrant sales environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide outstanding Customer Service by warmly Greeting Customers, actively listening to their needs, and offering tailored solutions.
• Execute effective Sales strategies and Selling Techniques to meet and exceed sales targets, demonstrating strong Interpersonal Communications.
• Accurately process transactions using a Cash Register and Point Of Sale system, ensuring precise Cash Handling and adherence to financial procedures.
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor through regular Merchandising and Stocking Merchandise, ensuring store Cleanliness.
• Develop and maintain thorough Product Knowledge to confidently answer customer inquiries and recommend appropriate items.
• Actively participate in Loss Prevention efforts by being vigilant and following established security protocols.
• Demonstrate strong Problem Solving skills to resolve customer issues and handle returns or exchanges efficiently.
• Support store Operations by assisting with inventory counts and understanding daily operational flow, occasionally assisting Management with tasks.
• Exhibit Multitasking capabilities, efficiently managing customer interactions, sales transactions, and merchandising tasks simultaneously.
• Contribute to a positive team environment, showing Leadership by example and supporting colleagues.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing role, with a focus on Customer Service and Sales.
• Thorough knowledge of Cash Handling and operating a Cash Register and Point Of Sale system.
• General knowledge of Retail Sales principles and Selling Techniques.
• Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, with comprehensive knowledge of the English Language.
• Is expected to be Detail Oriented and possess strong Organizational Skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including regular Lifting Ability of up to 25 pounds and standing for extended periods.
• Working knowledge of General Mathematics for accurate transaction processing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• One to two years of experience in a retail sales environment.
• Proven ability to develop and apply Product Knowledge effectively.
• Experience with Merchandising and maintaining store visual standards.
• A track record of successful Problem Solving in a retail setting.
• Familiarity with Loss Prevention best practices.
