IT Specialist (INFOSEC)
Duties
As an IT Specialist (INFOSEC), GS-2210-13, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the implementation of information technology (IT) security controls and security authorization documents to assure the system is compliant with mandated security policies and requirements.
- Providing security analysis of IT activities to ensure that appropriate security measures are in place and being enforced and re-mediated as needed.
- Recognizing a possible security violation and takes appropriate action to report the incident as required and takes corrective measures to rectify a cybersecurity incident.
- Ensuring that all system modifications, acquisitions, and outsourcing efforts address information security requirements consistent with organizational goals.
- Continuously validating the system against policies/guidelines/procedures/regulations/laws to ensure compliance.
