College Intern 1 The Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Wildlife Conservation is recruiting for a College Intern 1 located in Fairbanks! Effective July 1, 2026 the wage for this position increased by 2.5%. The wage listed in this job posting reflects the increase. This position is open to Alaska Residents only. Please check our residency definition to determine if you qualify. What you will be doing: Gain proficiency in WinfoNet, ADF&G's Wildlife Information Network. Maintain high-quality standards for harvest data entry and management. Assist in coding hunt locations using Uniform Coding Unit (UCU) maps. Verify harvest reports through direct outreach to hunters. Support Wildlife Technicians with various assigned duties and projects. Your work will directly support the conservation of Alaska's wildlife and habitats. This position offers a flexible schedule of approximately 20 hours per week. The working environment you can expect: Located at the Fairbanks ADF&G office, this position features a shared workspace overlooking the Creamer's Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge. While you will primarily work in an office setting, there will be opportunities to assist the public at the front counter, surrounded by Alaska's unique wildlife displays.
