Data Analyst

They are looking for two Data Analysts for the payment integrity project.

Requirements:

• 5-8 years of data analysis
• Data extractions
• Tableau or other similar tool
• Hadoop/Hive is a plus
• SQL must have

Could be contract to hire with the right person.

Interview process:

• Will interview immediately
• 2-3 rounds of panel interviews
• Hire immediately.

Looking for someone with “base statistical knowledge. Someone with mathematical skills. This is NOT a data science role.

Screening questions:

1. How much time each day do you spend working in the data?
2. What is your experience writing SQL queries? Are they simple or complex queries?

Work Location: Austin, Texas or telecommute based elsewhere.

Summary of the project/initiative: The candidate will be supporting development of dashboards and reports along with adhoc data analysis for UHC Payment Integrity to enable governance & oversight of all vendor operations under UHC PI.

The team the candidate will be working with: The team comprises of 1 Project Lead and 2-3 data analysts. The role would involve interacting with business stakeholders to understand requirements and creating reports/dashboards as per direction from project lead. Further the candidate would be required to interact with technology team to ensure production deployment of any regular reports and backend data transformation processes.

Ideal candidate background: The candidate should have 5-8 years of experience in reporting/dashboarding, data analysis/transformation and storytelling. The candidate should be comfortable in working with large data sets.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Understand business requirements and convert into analytical solution
• Create analytical reports and Tableau/Power BI dashboards as per specifications received from business partners
• Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends, patterns and insights
• Manage day to day leadership and stakeholder communication including development plan
• Develop impactful presentations and documents to communicate analysis output
• Participate in business brainstorming session and drive solution approach for a given problem at hand

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Relevant educational degrees
• Very good communication skills in English (spoken and written)
• Good knowledge of Business intelligence & Dashboarding tools like Tableau/Power BI, etc.
• Good knowledge of SQL
• Must have sound knowledge of tabular data handling & manipulation
• Knowledge of statistical programming language such as R/Python
• Understanding & experience of Bigdata techniques such as HDFS, Hive, Spark, MAPRDB etc.
