Senior Accounting AnalystFreeman Boatworks, recognized around the world for quality, performance, and comfort, is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to join our growing Finance team. This position is ideal for an accounting or finance professional with 2–5 years of experience who is looking to leverage a strong accounting foundation while expanding into financial analysis, forecasting, and operational decision support.Working closely with Accounting, Sales, Operations, and executive leadership, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records while helping drive profitability analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making across multiple business segments. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to both corporate accounting and FP&A within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial OperationsPrepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules as part of the monthly close processAssist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and bank reconciliationsMaintain the general ledger and support accurate financial reportingAssist with inventory accounting, manufacturing cost accounting, and balance sheet reconciliationsSupport the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reportingIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controlsFinancial Analysis & Business SupportPrepare profitability estimates for production builds and customer change ordersAnalyze gross margins, manufacturing costs, and budget versus actual performancePartner with Sales and Operations to improve profitability and support business decisionsAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelingPrepare monthly financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for executive leadershipPerform ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and operational improvementsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field2–5 years of accounting, finance, or public accounting experience (manufacturing experience is a plus)Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statementsExperience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reportingAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including lookup functions, pivot tables, and data analysisExperience with Power Query, ERP systems, or financial modeling is a plusHighly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environmentWhat We OfferCompetitive compensationComprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision, company-paid life & disability + more!401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysA collaborative, people-focused workplace built on craftsmanship and innovationPlease note: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
