A Team Member will train in various positions in Front of House and Back of House and can fill in at any position. After training, your manager will place you in a more defined position that best suits your skills and abilities as well as the needs of the restaurant.

Various positions within the Front of House and Back of House are cashier/runner, drive thru, and expo (expeditor).

Expo: Expo, short for expediter, is the heart of the restaurant. It is from this station that every order is prepared and sent to the Guest. The expo Team Members are peer leaders so in addition to the required skills, they must also possess skills and abilities necessary to effectively lead others.

Cook: Our great tasting food begins with the cook. This position is critical to our success and requires specific skills from the Team Member.

• Maintaining proper, clean work area and oil quality

Cashier: The cashier/runner serves as the face of Slim Chickens. They make that critical first and last impression with the Guests. They are the ones that must create the welcoming atmosphere that Guests will associate with Slim Chickens.

• Maintaining Restaurant Appearance Maintaining interior and exterior of restaurant by prebussing and sanitizing
• Menu Knowledge & Cash handling

Drive Thru: Similar to the cashier/runner, drive thru Team Members also deal directly with the Guest providing great Guest service in a drive thru environment can be challenging so this position is usually given to front of the house Team Members who have excelled in their current position. The drive thru Cashier will often work in tandem with the FOH to perform all FOH duties.

Duties:
• Prepare highquality food items following established recipes and safety standards, ensuring consistency and freshness.
• Operate POS systems for order processing, cash handling, and sales transactions with accuracy.
• Provide outstanding customer service by taking orders, answering questions, upselling menu items, and creating a welcoming environment.
• Manage food safety protocols including proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness to meet health regulations.
• Assist with food presentation, bussing tables, and maintaining a clean dining area to enhance guest experience.
• Support kitchen operations through food prep tasks like chopping ingredients, assembling orders, and ensuring timely delivery of meals.
• Handle cash register operations efficiently while maintaining accuracy in cash handling and basic math calculations.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in food service or quickservice restaurants is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
• Strong skills in food preparation, sanitation, and food safety standards are essential.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests.
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fastpaced environment while multitasking across various duties.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications.
• Experience in cashiering, serving, bussing tables or retail environments such as grocery stores or cafes is advantageous.
