South High Schools (High-Needs School) Job/FLSA Status: Part-Time, Seasonal, Exempt Reports to: Band Director and/or Choral Director Position Summary Music Program Clinicians support the Band Director’s and Choral Director’s efforts to improve the overall quality of music education for our music students. Position Responsibilities Lead sectionals with various groups at times specified by the Band Director and/or Choral Director. Encourage musical growth through lessons and other outside music resources pertaining to the student’s musical focus. Work cooperatively with the Band Director and/or Choral Director on goals and standards needed for superior musical performance. Assist in rehearsals as scheduled with Band Director and/or Choral Director. Organize and execute, in consultation with, and approval from, the Band Director and/or Choral Director, various goals for musical growth within the specialized section assigned to you. Maintain positive relationships with students fostering a safe learning environment.
