Mobile Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) – Pittsburgh, PA

$30–$32/hour | Full-Time | Mobile / Field-Based

We are hiring an ARRT-certified Radiologic Technologist / X-Ray Technologist for a full-time mobile imaging opportunity serving the Greater Pittsburgh area.

This is a 100% mobile, field-based position—not remote. You will travel to assigned healthcare locations using a company-provided vehicle to perform physician-ordered diagnostic imaging. Portable X-ray equipment, computer, phone, and necessary work equipment are provided.

Experienced technologists and qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply. Previous mobile X-ray experience is not required.

Schedule & On-Call

• Preferred schedule: 4x10s, approximately 10:00 AM–8:30 PM
• A 5x8 schedule, approximately 10:00 AM–6:30 PM , may be accommodated
• On-call approximately one weeknight per week
• Approximately every 5th–6th weekend
• 1–2 holidays per year

What You'll Do

• Perform physician-ordered portable/mobile radiographic examinations.
• Travel between assigned healthcare locations using a company-provided vehicle.
• Perform diagnostic imaging in hospitals, nursing facilities, and other assigned healthcare environments.
• Position patients safely and appropriately for diagnostic examinations.
• Adjust imaging techniques and technical factors according to patient condition and examination requirements.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images using portable radiographic equipment.
• Verify examination orders and accurately document patient and study information.
• Follow established imaging protocols, ALARA principles, and radiation-safety requirements .
• Coordinate with healthcare facility staff, physicians, patients, and internal team members.
• Organize daily assignments and work independently in a mobile environment.
• Maintain assigned imaging equipment and company vehicle.
• Perform EKG, Holter monitoring, pacemaker checks, and related diagnostic procedures when trained and assigned.
• Provide compassionate, professional patient care across a variety of healthcare environments.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a formal Radiologic Technology program accredited by JRCERT .
• Active ARRT certification in the appropriate specialty.
• Applicable state licensure/requirements as required by law.
• Current continuing education requirements appropriate to the specialty.
• Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a company-provided vehicle.
• Strong patient-care and communication skills.
• Strong organization and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage assignments in a mobile environment.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

No previous professional experience is required when the education and training requirements are met. Qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Training & Ride-Along

New to mobile imaging? No problem . Previous mobile X-ray experience is not required.

Qualified candidates may have the opportunity to participate in a ride-along following the interview , providing a firsthand look at the day-to-day responsibilities, mobile work environment, and territory.

New employees receive hands-on training and ongoing support to become comfortable with the mobile workflow, equipment, territory, and position expectations.
