Travel Physical Therapist - $2,195 per week

Job Details Fusion Medical Staffing – Therapy is seeking a travel Physical Therapist (PT) for a 26‑week assignment in Spanaway, Washington. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with Washington state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctoral degree in physical therapy. Previous physical therapy experience (new graduates are welcome to apply). Additional certifications or licenses that may be required for the position. Summary The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Working in hospitals, clinics, or rehabilitation centers, the PT creates personalized, evidence‑based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to help patients recover and become independent. Essential Work Functions Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using a variety of techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain. Operate and maintain specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely and effectively. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize treatment outcomes. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, proper body mechanics, injury prevention strategies, and self‑management techniques. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to stay current with best practices. Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continued patient progress. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and use standard PC applications. Physical capability to remain stationary, move about, lift equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Strong technical/motor skills for fine manipulation and assistance with procedures. Capacity to cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, and work independently or under close supervision. Visual acuity and effective visual communication skills.
