Commercial Roofing Estimator- Phoenix, AZ

The Commercial Roofing Estimator is responsible for developing accurate, competitive, and profitable estimates for large, complex commercial roofing projects, including new construction and roof replacement. This position requires a high level of technical expertise across all major roofing systems and manufacturers, along with experience in vendor coordination and contract negotiation. The estimator plays a key role in the front end of project development, analyzing drawings, specifications, and bid documents to define scope and prepare detailed cost estimates that support company revenue and margin goals.Key ResponsibilitiesTake the lead in reviewing drawings, specifications, and bid documents to fully understand project scope and requirementsBuild detailed take-offs and develop accurate, competitive estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted workWork directly with vendors, manufacturers, and subcontractors to gather pricing, confirm system details, and ensure complete coveragePlay an active role in scope alignment and support contract and pricing negotiations on negotiated workIdentify risks, gaps, and opportunities within each project and clearly outline assumptions and exclusionsContribute ideas around value engineering, helping improve cost efficiency without sacrificing quality or performancePartner closely with sales, operations, and project management teams to ensure a smooth transition from estimate to executionVisit job sites as needed to verify field conditions and strengthen the accuracy of your estimatesStay organized with all bid documentation and maintain clear records within company systemsSupport team growth by sharing knowledge and helping maintain consistent estimating standardsQualificationsRequired:Minimum 5 years of experience as a commercial roofing estimatorExperience working on large, complex commercial roofing projectsStrong knowledge of all major commercial roofing systems and manufacturersExperience working with vendors and supporting pricing and contract negotiationsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documentsPreferred:5–10+ years of experienceBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fieldExperience with Edge Estimating software strongly preferredExperience with CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpotNations Roof provides equal employment opportunities without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information, or any other protected characteristic.NO RECRUITING AGENCIES.All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.#IND123
