This role will be responsible for leading efficient manufacturing practices. Most importantly, the candidate will be accountable for delivering safety, quality, delivery, and cost throughout the department.Job ResponsibilitiesEnforce all company procedures/work standards. Make sure team members are producing at company standards and that they are following company procedures.Participate in continuous improvement activities.Make sure all team members are trained to effectively perform their job duties. Develop and train back up team members for key jobs. Assist in building teams and promoting teamwork.Ensure all safety rules are being followed; confirms all accidents are investigated and reported properly.Open communication with all departments concerning quality, manpower, equipment, production needs, and material concerns.Ensure all 5S and housekeeping requirements are being followed.QualificationsKnowledge and Skills3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing settingAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of management in both written and oral formats.Self-directed and motivated to accomplish tasks for the company.Detail orientedMust be able to use common business computer software and perform data entry and retrieval onto manufacturing/inventory control databases.An employee in this position must focus on customers' expectations, prevent problems, and strive for continuous improvement resulting in improved results for themselves, customers, and other employees.Must exercise continuous leadership to focus plant efforts on priorities.
