About the Role:
West Valley Pet Clinic in Woodland Hills, CA is looking for a friendly and passionate Veterinary Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our clinic! In this role, you'll play a vital part in creating a positive experience for pets and their owners from the moment they walk through our doors. If you love animals and thrive in a fast-paced, compassionate environment, we'd love to meet you!
Responsibilities:
Greet clients and their pets warmly, ensuring a positive and stress-free check-in experience
Schedule and confirm appointments, managing a busy multi-line phone system
Accurately enter and maintain client and patient records in veterinary practice management software
Process payments, invoices, and insurance claims at the front desk
Communicate effectively with veterinarians and veterinary technicians to coordinate patient flow
Respond to client inquiries in person, by phone, and via email regarding services, medications, and follow-up care
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office and waiting area
Requirements:
Prior experience as a veterinary receptionist, veterinary assistant, or in a related animal care setting preferred
Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
Comfortable handling and interacting with animals of all sizes and temperaments
Proficiency with veterinary software (e.g., Avimark, Cornerstone, or similar) is a plus
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume clinic environment
Compassionate, professional, and team-oriented demeanor
High school diploma or equivalent required
