Your role is essential in maintaining a well-organized, safe, and productive warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities: Material Handling: Receiving: Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage, and verify the accuracy of quantities against packing lists. Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory within the warehouse, including labeling, sorting, and stocking materials and products. Order Picking: Accurately pick items from inventory using order sheets or electronic picking systems, ensuring that the correct items and quantities are selected. Packing and Preparing: Assist in packaging materials securely for shipping and preparing orders for shipment, including labeling and documentation. Loading and Unloading: Load and unload trucks, containers, and storage areas efficiently and safely. Safety and Compliance: Safety Procedures: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues to the maintenance department. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of material handling activities, including inventory logs and order fulfillment records. Warehouse Support: Team Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure the efficient flow of materials and products. Assist with Other Duties: Participate in general warehouse tasks, such as inventory counts and assisting in the packaging and shipping areas as needed. Qualifications: Previous experience as a Material Handler/Stand up forklift. Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures. Strong attention to safety protocols and operational guidelines. Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy items, sometimes in excess of 50 pounds. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. Willingness to learn and adapt to new warehouse technologies and processes.
