POSITION TITLE: CT Technologist/Radiology Technologist

WORK SCHEDULE: Day Shift (7 AM - 7 PM)

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: PRN

FACILITY TYPE: Small-Format Hospital with 16 beds (8 for Emergency Room, 8 for Inpatients)

The primary objective of this role is to conduct a range of imaging procedures, such as CT scans and X-rays, at a technical level that does not require constant oversight.

• Deliver technical support and patient care to assist physicians, nurses, and other staff in addressing the needs of patients throughout the facility.
• Operate and maintain all imaging equipment, including X-Ray, CT, CR readers, and PACS.
• Conduct imaging exams in compliance with established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws, ensuring that the physician on duty is informed of the results.
• Perform basic clinical tasks under the supervision of the physician and/or nurse on duty.
• Keep accurate documentation, logs, charts, forms, and records in both paper and electronic formats.
• Collect laboratory samples and conduct lab tests following established protocols and regulatory standards.
• Ensure an adequate supply of reagents and consumables for quality testing.
• Carry out routine maintenance and function checks on all imaging equipment as per established protocols.
• Execute Quality Control measures as mandated by the laboratory.
• Participate in Proficiency Testing and/or Split Sample analysis as required.
• Maintain records of all analytical activities for a minimum of two years.
• Conduct all Quality Assessment activities assigned to this role and document them for periodic review by the Laboratory Supervisor and/or Laboratory Director.

• Assist as an ER Technician when necessary.
• Ensure an adequate supply of reagents and consumables for quality testing.
• Perform routine maintenance and function checks on imaging equipment as per established protocols.
• Travel to various facility locations as needed.
• Attend staff meetings or other company-sponsored meetings as required.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiology Technology program is required.
• Associate’s degree in Radiology is preferred.
• Certification as a medical radiologic technologist as mandated by the state of practice is required.
• Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography is required.
• Preferred: Registered Technologist with ARRT in computed tomography, with specific exceptions for certain markets.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Preferred: 2+ years of experience in radiologic/imaging.
• Preferred: 1+ years of CT experience.
• Preferred: 1+ years of experience in an emergency room setting.
• Proficiency with various X-ray/CT equipment, including manufacturer’s hardware/software and PACS.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is required.
